Alex Lasher
Guitar & Vocals
Alex started his musical walkabout as a kid playing piano. A year later he
realized that was for suckas and took up guitar. He knew right away that the
six string would from that point govern the rest of his life. He studied for
years in private lessons, played in a few small rock bands and the prestigious
high school jazz band to begin understanding that wonderful group dynamic that
creates great music. Throughout high school and college, Alex formed a number
of different incarnations of the same band with a variety of different players
playing covers and his early songwriting endeavours. However behind the scenes
of that, he began dabbling with learning about music from all different cultures
throughout the rest of the world. He also studied classical guitar for a
semester and continued to further his education in jazz theory as well. He
finds inspiration in just about everything he hears and attempts to bring that
all into the music he writes.
He most enjoys the freedom of creative jams inparticular conversing back and
forth with his lovely wife Faith. There’s much more to the complex amalgamation
that is Alex but he’s really bored with writng about himself now so if you gots
